Celebrate the season – and our inaugural year of WINGS programming – with your fellow WINGS participants and their families (significant others and children are welcome)!
From 3 to 5 p.m., we’ll be offering nature crafts inside the Singing Winds Visitor Center and short, guided hikes outside on the property grounds.
The T.C. Steele staff will also have tours available of the historic house and studio at 2:15, 3:15 and 4:15 p.m. (tour fees are $10/adult, $8/senior, $5/child).
Please bring a dish to share and join in the potluck meal beginning at 5:15 p.m. Disposable tableware will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own reusable tableware.
The meal will conclude with a short presentation to recognize attendees who earned their first set of “wings” in 2020 by participating in at least 8 WINGS events.
This is an official WINGS event!
The goal of Women in Nature Gaining Skills (WINGS) is to encourage and empower women with the skills and confidence they need to partake in outdoor recreation activities in the south central Indiana area. Each WINGS event features women-led hands-on training, with the goal of building a community of women interested in outdoor recreation. WINGS events take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month and are open to ages 16 and up.
