Cate Whetzel, Program Developer was interviewed by WTIU Public Media on January 9, 2018. WTIU is the public television station in Bloomington.

Indiana Historical Society President and CEO John A. Herbst (R), awards the Heritage Support Grant to Cate Whetzel (C) and David Steele (L) on Feb. 26, 2018 in the Cole Porter Room – Indiana Historical Society

The interview was conducted in the T.C. Steele State Historic Site large studio. The focus of the television interview was the public announcement of a Heritage Support Grant, provided by the Indiana Historical Society and made possible by Lilly Endowment. The grant will fund the building of the Studio Wagon. Grants are available for projects that will help Indiana’s local history organizations meet high priority needs in areas of capacity building, collections stewardship, innovation and collaboration. These grants will help history organizations in Indiana improve stewardship of the cultural materials in their care and develop institutional capacity to play greater, more effective roles in their communities. We are very fortunate to have received this grant and we must recognize Cate for her hard work and diligence throughout this process. The interview aired on January 12 and may be viewed at http://bit.ly/steelewagon.
