New Board Member

Stacy Brooke

We are pleased to announce that Stacy Brooke has joined our board as of January 2020!

Stacy discovered her love and appreciation for Indiana Landscape paintings in 1984 as a freshman at Butler University. Entering Butler as an Accounting Major, she enrolled in an Art Appreciation class solely because it fit her busy schedule and met a Liberal Arts requirement.

A painting project in the art appreciation class included multiple field trips to the Indianapolis Art Museum and Crown Hill Grounds providing the energy and passion for Stacy’s transformation in appreciating the liberal arts. She became a history major the following year, while discovering a new level of dedication to learning about art.

After a life of raising sons, teaching pre-school, Sunday school, working with National Fraternity and Sorority Headquarters, and returning to Butler University for work in multiple Student Affairs positions, Stacy is at a point where she would like to contribute to the arts as a non-profit board member. We are very fortunate to have a new board member with a background and life experiences that will be invaluable to our board and members of The Friends of T.C. Steele.

Stacy and her husband, Chris, split their time between 14 acres in Zionsville, Indiana and their 80 acre retreat, Castlebrooke Farms, nestled adjacent to the Morgan Monroe State Forest and Wheeler Mission at Camp Hunt in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to spending time on their properties, they cherish visiting their five sons and one grandson.

Welcome aboard, Stacy!
