February 18, 2022 by Friends of T.C. Steele

We were happy to host visitor Neda Ulaby for a visit to the T.C. Steele Historic Site when visiting Indiana in February of 2021. Neda also spent a night at the boyhood home in Waveland, Indiana prior to her return to Washington. President Garrett Adams coordinated these experiences.

“I’m so grateful to have stayed briefly at the T.C. Steele Historic Site & Boyhood Home! What a wonderful chance to clear one’s head at an art-filled retreat where the footsteps of Steele still seem to squeak the old Victorian floorboards.

Thanks, Garrett, for an unexpected invitation and to Tim & Meg Shelly being such a thoughtful and accommodating host – the visit to Waveland ended up being the highlight of my spring 2021, even though I set off the alarm at the public library when I went to admire the Steele on display!”

We hope to see Neda back in Indiana again soon!
